Dear brothers and sisters in the Parish of the South Peace,
I just received a phone call from Pam King in Kelowna and this will now share this news with all of you. Our brother in Christ, Bevan King, died overnight last night. Granddaughter Jasmine was with him and others were on the way to the hospital. I had a farewell prayer with them by phone just a bit ago.
They will arrange for cremation and then the funeral service will be held at Christ Church sometime after next Monday (Oct. 12, when Bev and I will be arriving home). It will be a day or two before Pam and her sisters decide on the date for the service.
Please share this with others who would care and be interested to know. Since I am sending this from my personal email I am not sure if I have as complete a set of addresses for the parish as I have on the church computer.
Please remember the family in your prayers and we commend our brother to the Lord.
Rest eternal grant him, O Lord;
And let light perpetual shine upon him.
